Niagara Falls

A nicely dramatic view, leavened by everyone either photographing or being photographed. But then, that's what one does there.

Thanks, Bob. Yes, when you've lived within a couple of hours of the falls for all but two years of your long life you could make an album out of your falls photos.

Oooh, I probably stood on that very spot once (or at least very close to it). I can still remember the noise of the water and the feel of the mist in the air!

Beautifully captured John.........the impression of the water movement and power is spot on and the light is gorgeous. I like the way the tourists stand out from the background too.

And it's not just the falls, Ulrich. The stretch along the Niagara River from Niagara Falls to Lake Ontario is full of dramatic views, too.

Thanks, Denis. It was evening, but they light everything up with very powerful lights. And there's fireworks. Something for every taste.

a beautiful souvenir : I went there 11 years ago and it was a very interesting, funny and wet day!!

It's always fun at the Falls, Gabi. One thing I like me there is that they are so considerate that just in case you don't find the Falls impressive enough they throw in fireworks as well.

Like the blurring out of the Falls themselves, John; neat to just focus on the people doing their photo ops, and what great contrasts in light and shadow that day; great!
