Taking the bird out for a walk? But where's the bird?

I was only able to take one shot, Sarah, and the parrot chose that moment to forage round the bottom of the cage.

I bet the parrot enjoyed being out in the fresh air.

What you Canadians think of doing! I would have thought taking the parrot out for a walk would be more something Sarah would see!

(Okay, okay, I meant it only to be funny, but it reads a bit like a snide remark absent a vocal inflection..)

Well, I doubt the parrot would be out if it were winter, Bob. But then again maybe Canada Goose makes a coat for parrots.

An amusing shot John............a shame you missed the parrot!

Taking your parrot for a walk is more common than you think and certainly not confined to Canadians: www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/37370182/in/album/377515

(Feel free to delete if you want to John.........I don't want to hi-jack your thread) :-)

Thanks, Keith. I suppose I should have taken another shot with the parrot in it and pasted it in. But I was afraid of spooking the people, especially as I was lurking behind all the yellow guy-wire covers (some are not shown).

Parrot-walking -- one of the great traditions that unites the Commonwealth.

Thanks, Kenny. I think you've put your finger on it -- I was preoccupied with the general frame. This camera doesn't have a viewfinder, and getting the frame right on a sunny day requires concentration.
