It's certainly popular with both tourists and locals, Jaap, and perhaps even more in the winter when the pond becomes a skating rink.

Urban Landscape with Tourists. You could not not have taken this with a wry smile for the tai chi movement of the candid photographer. The subject, holding her hat against the breeze, echoes the best self-conscious movement I made when the family dressed in steampunk mode for a group picture - grabbing my hat as if we were moving rapidly somewhere.

I'm sure I've expressed admiration for this particular public space before - it really works as an oasis for people to congregate.

By the way, I can't bring up the picture you uploaded before this one - when I click on the thumbnail it just goes back to the thumbnail page, and it isn't the only picture that does this. Too bad - the shot looks interesting.

Among all the Torontonians lounging around he also provides a dynamic centre of interest. Yeas, I recall you mentioning how this square is a good meeting place. I also believed you mentioned a similar place in Minneapolis which is similarly undecorated yet popular. Good places to catch the sun, I guess.

Have you told support about your problem. I haven't had it myself.

I suspect, though, that the liveliest people here aren't from the Big City, Ulrich. Of course they could well be from a bigger one.

This square is a candid photographers paradise John.

This a a lovely candid shot................I like the "stance" of the phone photographer and the pose of his subject. A few years ago people would be embarrassed to do this sort of thing, but now everyone's at it!

Nice work sir and try to resist the urge go go wading!

Thanks, Keith. Yes, his stance is really the centre of interest here, I think. All the Torontonians are just lounging around.and he's being dynamic.

I've resisted wading so far. What's really amazing, though, is that I haven't fallen in yet.

An interesting urban oasis. The photographer and model steal the scene, but it's interesting to see how the other people are relaxing.

It's a very popular place to eat lunch, just relax, or skate in the winter, George. Or to do mass Falun Gong/Dafa calisthenics. Or to pitch tents and have a festival.
