And a good development, too, Jean. These days dangers are more clearly marked then they used to be.

A riot of color! And why does it remind me of net stockings? Ah, the shadows. And how did a traffic cone sneak in, hmmmm?

I like it!

Thanks, Bob. Traffic cones do what they want in this city, Bob. They're like our uber-raccoons.

I missed this yesterday.....................but good to see that ferocious traffic cone is properly confined...........you can never be too sure how it'll behave!

A belated HFF John..........I hope you're enjoying the weekend.

Gives a new meaning to the term "eye candy"!
In fact, I just realized that traffic cones bare some resemblance to those bits of waxy sugar known as "candy corn" and offered around Halloween to gullible children.

What? You give traffic cones to children on Hallowe'en?

Actually, I'd never seen or heard of candy corn before you mentioned it, but the internet reveals the resemblance. Perhaps...traffic cones were modelled on candy corn!

Well, let's look that up. So...the traffic cone was "invented" by Charles D. Scanlon, but not a word about the inspiration for the shape. Probably trying to avoid patent infringement.
