I once told someone, in passing, that their shot was "busy" and they were offended, so I won't say it here. I guess it's better to say that there's a lot to look at. And there is, but the overhead wires look, well, multitudinous. The flattened perspective adds to the effect. What a grand jigsaw puzzle this would make!

Thanks, Bob. I think I have a long way to go before I take a truly busy photo. Some of Lee Friedlander's take my breath away.

Thanks, Bob. I aspire to a truly busy shot, like many of Lee Friedlanders'.

The double answer was the result of ipernity being difficult. But now you know I like Lee Friedlander.

An interesting cityscape. I'd say the Outlaw King is pretty much confined by all those wires.

Extremely complicated !!

John FitzGerald club has replied to kiiti club
It's a streetcar intersection, kiiti, which complicates things.

An amazingly complex image John............so much going on..!! I'm particularly bemused by the seemingly random overhead wires and cables - we tend to bury ours..!!

John FitzGerald club has replied to Keith Burton club
Thanks, Keith. Wires do get buried here and there. The big problem is that the ground freezes in winter, so any minor repair of underground wires requires jackhammers. I once had the pleasure of waking up at 4am on Sunday as jackhammers started digging down to the water main. Frozen ground is also why much of North America has the big fire hydrants.

John FitzGerald club has replied to Keith Burton club
Thanks, Keith. The ground freezes in winter here, so most of the wires stay above ground. Jackhammering to repair the water main is enough jackhammering for us, especially in the middle of the night.

You know, that never even occurred to me.............it's so obvious now you've mentioned it.

Duh..!!
