I like them fat ones at the bottom, Sarah. They seem to be breathing.

A lot to see here. All the repeated but receding round, orange shapes, and the half-seen figure with a touch of red umbrella. Reminds me of MacLeish writing, but let's change it a bit. "A photo should be palpable and mute
As a globed fruit......."
"A photo should not mean, but be."

Thanks, Bob, and a very apt reference. Mainly I prefer to leave the meaning to the viewer. Sometimes I incorporate a meaning but of course cannot depend on the viewer getting it. Mainly I want to manipulate shapes and colour to alter arousal -- I got that idea from D. E. Berlyne, the founder of the psychobiological school of aesthetics, whose course I barely scraped through in graduate school. I don't think he meant to imply that art shouldn't have a meaning; however, as I mentioned, I only just scraped through, so my interpretation of his ideas is probably a tad heterodox.

any fruit you want, so long as it's orange, great perspective and colour . . .

Thanks, Stoker. I could have checked out how many oranges they had altogether, but I was in a rush.
