Die Kathedrale von Sevilla gehört seit 1987 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Sie ist die größte gotische Kirche in Spanien und mit rund 11.500 m² Innenfläche auch eine der größten Kirchen in der Welt. Der Kirchturm ist das Wahrzeichen von Sevilla. Die Giralda ist das Minarett der alten maurischen Moschee, auf der im 12. Jhd. die Kathedrale errichtet wurde.
