AJO in the SONORA DESERT (ARIZONA)

AJO in the SONORA DESERT (ARIZONA)
My cousin lives in Ajo, an old copper mine site and this is her front yard. Ma cousine habite Ajo, une ancienne ville minière pour le cuivre et cette vue est devant sa maison.
Mi prima vive en Ajo, una ciudad que explotaba el cobre y esto es enfrente de su casa.

Anita DESITTER, Gaëtane, Demetrius Chryssikos, Marie Mars. have particularly liked this photo

Do you know that some cactus (the round, flat ones) have fruits that can be eaten and are part of the indigenous diet? I haven't tried yet!

Arizona ? I never go in this state. I stop at the four corners and continue to the North.
I rested in 70' in Denver and my trips were in Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico at south.
Wonderful countries...
May be I'll return one day....

Behind my cousin's house, there is a mountain on which is written "the hottest point on earth" and we can hear about people who died trying to trekke across the Sonora Desert. It will not be a priority, but it has its charm...Come back one day!

Merci Demetrius pour le commentaire et le fave. Il y a plus de fleurs dans le désert qu'on ne pense.
