16. IDENTIFICATION AND LABELING

16. IDENTIFICATION AND LABELING
The boxes received their number and necessary identification before going to the white door in the bottom where the delivery truck waits for them.
Les ananas et les boîtes reçoivent leur pièce d'identité avant de sortir par la grande porte blanche dans le fond derrière laquelle un camion les attend.

Today everything seems to be ORGANIC. And a little more expensive. But tastier?
We in Germany call it BIO, only to find out that it isn't true. But who has got the manpower to check what ORGANIC or BIO means?
Evelyne, I like your reportage from 1 - 16. A good insight.

Thank you Fritz, I tried to present it as lively as possible. What seems to cause often the confusion about ORGANIC and BIO is 1) in English ORGANIC means the same thing as in French BIO! 2) in the U.S. a product can be labeled as ORGANIC when it uses only chemicals on a list accepted and controlled by the Food & Drugs Administration (I was told some years ago) plus whatever real Bio can been used, this part might even be skipped. 3) ORGANIC contents CO2 and mineral products content mineral salts and carbone. 4) BIO refers to all natural products organic or mineral! Did you follow me Fritz? You are good if you did! because I have hard time following myself!
PS. Here, organic is more expensive too for sure but not always good looking! I wonder often if they did not come from backyard left over of some locals!

Yes,a good question : BIO is OK but is it controlled ?? Le Bio, fait vendre mais est-ce réellement Bio et contrôlé sérieusement ?

On vend un produit pour laver les fruits et les légumes. To be on the safe side I would use it. In any case, if you eat only fruit with a skin you can peel and cooked vegetables, you may worry less about !That's what I do!
