Hand and heart
The Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas in Galway, Ireland is the largest medieval parish church building in continuous use for religious services. The building was completed in 1320.
The Claddagh (two hands around a heart with a crown) is the symbol of the purity of a dear relationship – friendship (cairdeas), love (grá) and loyalty (dílseacht).
