Kaohsiung war mal eine wichtige Hafenstadt und lebte davon, inzwischen ist der Wohlstand gekommen und man gibt sich postindustriell.

Container Art "Kaohsiung Sea Mile 509025.6" located at the entrance to Shin Kuan Pier. It's set up in 2001 Kaohsiung Container Art Festival by local artist Mr. Wu, and for now it has become the permanent public art for the citizens. Assembled by 6 red container, the number "509025.6" represent how long can a container go after the dacade of it's age.

Well, this goes a little off-topic, but just today I read a rather worrying article about people complaining about almost anything that offends them. Social media has became a new power in societies, and it has also started to become almost as a form of censorship. Enough people complaining that some work of art offends them, and it may force the author to apologies and even withdraw the work from publicity.

So, I sincerely hope artists can keep on making insane and even provocative works.
