yes,it is a Chinese one.I shot it in Hangzhou,a south city of China,it was hot that day,I think that is reason his hair is so short,and in north China,the squirrels' hair are very long, like "yours".
The black one you photographed seems to belong to another squirrel species.
According to the wikipedia map, however, a subspecies of "our" Eurasian red squirrel can also be found in Eastern China and Korea, but not in the Hangzhou region:
The eastern-asian red squirrels seem to have a "lighter" coat than the ones you can find in Middle Europe - this is a picture of a korean one I found in the web:
