Palm Springs Art Museum

Palm Springs Art Museum
Founded in 1938 as the Palm Springs Desert Museum it specialized in Native American artifacts, natural sciences and the surrounding Coachella Valley environment. This, current, building was designed in 1974 by E. Stewart Williams (and has since been extended). The collection now includes works by Louise Bourgeois, Marc Chagall, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and Roy Lichtenstein (many items having been donated by local affluent residents).
