This one is harder to see the bird, but once you do, it's a very pleasing effect.

Yes it takes a few second for my eyes to clearly see the bird but once you do it is obvious. Would I be right in thinking there's a little snail in front of the bird?

No snail, but it might have been a leaf. :^)

I'm currently deleting my Ipernity photos, because I don't know if they're planning to have *any* free accounts when the new folks take over, but if they DO allow any free accounts, I'm sure there will be only a few photos allowed to be visible.

I'm down to 199 pics today, and will probably take even more out- I've got a few linked as illustrations to other people's stories, and since I can't change their links I'm hoping I'll be able to keep at least those few... but who knows?

The Ipernity changeover has been a series of passed deadlines and no specific information since December. The only thing I know is that the membership price is going up far more than I can afford- 50 euros, plus currency conversion charges adds up to a lot more than I can pay, especially given the difficulty in linking pics elsewhere even to totally non-profit blogs. *sigh*

I *might* be able to go back to Flickr, their new owners have changed the log-in requirements, so I was able to get back to my old account. But I don't know. I'm so tired of expending time & energy redoing things (this would be the fourth time I'd had to move pictures) and have no idea what Verizon is going to do with Flickr... I may just give up on sharing photos on the net.

I'll be sorry to see you go if they won't allow free accounts with 200 photos. Fingers crossed that they can keep that arrangement. I don't know why they cant have the free accounts but allow some adds to appear on the pages of those members. No doubt some others might leave ipernity too. Any hoped for increase of revenue should take this factor into account when putting the fees up but it must be difficult to make that judgement. This ipernity thing has been dragging on for ages now. I've not found another site that is similar and I'm reluctant to go back to flickr, though I still have my account there with just a few photos.

Someone commented on the news post with a link to the actual wording of the proposed new terms by the person heading up the new group. It was posted December 7, 2016 and so far as I can tell, none of it has been verified, but neither has any of it been disclaimed.

proposed note 6: Free membership should exist only for a limited time.

proposed note 7 says they might offer discounts to senior citizens (no idea what age they'd consider senior, I might qualify or not) and students. But again, that was just a 'might'.

Autopay through paypal was also mentioned, which would be a big No for me, regardless of the price. I've fought with autopay messups in the past, and it's not worth the headache.

I don't know what they're actually going to do, but I have a feeling that there will be no advance warning. I've found some pics that I didn't have backed up, and downloading the originals to my computer is slow- I won't risk getting the recommended bulk downloading program so I'm stuck with Ipernity's one at a time.
