I don't mind either too much...........whether we like them or not, they're part of a lot of landscapes and can't always be avoided. If I had to choose I'd pick wind turbines.

I like this image a lot........the light is gorgeous especially where it has highlighted parts of the oilseed rape field. The pylons fit in quite well..........standing like sentinels overlooking the fields. Well composed and taken Maurice.

For me: wind turbines ! Both are not really lovely, but wind is really an alternative to save us in the future. By the way: the picture is very nice, Maurice !

Both are well designed and can look really good in some circumstances. Fairly recently though pylons have gone through the Cairngorms carrying the electricity generated by wind farms in the north south. They have caused considerable damage to what was pristine scenery. They always make me think of Daleks striding across the countryside. Wind turbines are everywhere here. I don't mind the farms so much it's individual ones dotted around the place that irritate. Hopefully one day technology will move on.

I don't like either Maurice, but they are both necessary at this time. They do make a striking picture, marching across the countryside though.

Terrific shots Maurice pylons do make for a good image but it looks as though you have been down to Somerset which is known as pylon county,

Pylons are very much easier to photograph BUT I find a single Wind Turbine more attractive than a single pylon - there I go making life complicated with too much analysis:-)
