TSC: gadgets

There was some debate over whether torches counted as a gadget, or whether they were more of a tool... For the purposes of this week's TSC, I'm going with gadget. :D

One of the Flame Off competitors adjusting his flame. The Flame Off is an annual flameworking competition held at the Sonoran Glass School during the Tucson gem show. Competitors have 1.5 hours to work on their entries, and the finished pieces are auctioned off as a fundraiser for the school.

Dida From Augsburg, Michel, Indycaver (Norm), Wierd Folkersma and 12 other people have particularly liked this photo

Wonderful composition, I can almost feel the heat! I'd classify a torch as a gadget, too.

Oh, I'm a total pyro. :D I just love the way molten glass glows, and moves - blowing glass is like dancing with fire, and flameworking is like painting with fire. Back when I took my first glassblowing class I thought it would just be a one time thing; but I got hooked, and I kept going back for more, and before I knew it I was a professional pyro. :)
