Do you think? I've always seen her more as thinking, or maybe listening... When she's not perched on top of a stack of books she sits at the edge of the shelf above my worktable, watching me work (and usually not being too critical ;)

Great lighting and the books help to set the scale, also.

I really like the lighting of the figurine Dvora!
I would just have been tempted to edit out the slightly distracting light to the left of the frame which I think would have focused the eye on your main subject! :-)

Thanks! :) I'm pleased with how the texture on her dress and hat picked up the light...

I played around with the books a bit - edge out, spine out, dustjacket on or off, face up or down (not that I'm at all obssessive or anything ;) )... Thought about covering up the big white rectangle-with-barcode, but I'm kind of ok with it adding a bit of light to the background. I think. Although, now that I've been (totally not obssessively!) staring at it, maybe I should've at least toned it down a bit... ;)
