My first time on a horse for 10 years- even tho, they live in my backyard!

The observant one will notice the lack of stirrups- That's because I'm sitting on my wife's too-small English saddle (for me), so I just wrapped them on top and rode around without.

It doesn't matter how fit you might be, you WILL be sore the next day if you haven't ridden in a long time.

Now I know why cowboys mosey- they're sore! :)

hey, thanks everybody!!! I must check ipernity more often. My problem is that I only have dialup at home.. so I dont get to play as much as I would like.

Stiletto-- No, I don't forget.. I felt SUPER awkward for about 5 minutes, but then old unused knowledge woke up.. :) I need to get back on the horse....

I know what you mean; I used to ride as a kid, horses were my first love... But as an adult only sporadically, yet when I do it does come back - as do the incredibly sore legs!!!
