Lone Pine is a very small town. It features two attractions: Mt. Whitney and the entrance to Death Valley. But they have this very nice Motel. If you stay there, make sure, that you visit the lobby. It is a "John Wayne Museum", because Hollywood made some movies with him and other actors around the city. There is also a "Lone Pine Western Movie Festival" every year.
