Wolfsburg Volkswagen (#2829)

Wolfsburg Volkswagen (#2829)
Volkswagen Wolfsburg. I passed through Wolfsburg multiple times on the train and found it interesting, but didn't get to stop and explore. The body of water in the lower portion of the picture is the river Aller which was 'canalized'. Per Wikipedia there is no commercial traffic on the river, but at least one time that I passed it I saw what surely seemed to be a commercial barge passing the VW plant.

Sorry, can't resist some soap-boxing about how we used to teach students (back when they paid attention) the value of triangulation in research.....

Admittedly I didn't track stuff down terribly far, did see some reference to canals that had been redug.

I'll admit it. I once "won" a bet with somebody that some stupid fact I'd made up off the top of my head was true by doing a quick edit of a Wikipedia page.
