SF Maritime Natl Hist Eureka ferry (1442)

SF Maritime Natl Hist Eureka ferry (1442)
Paddlewheel of the Eureka. The ferries were primarily operated by the railroads that served the area. For most of its history, the Eureka was operated by the Northwestern Pacific, a now largely abandoned railroad that operated between SF (via ferry from Marin county) and northwest California. Some components of the former Northwestern are now being converted to a commuter rail line in Marin and Santa Rosa county.

Clint, have particularly liked this photo
