Tulare County, CA orange groves (0402)
Friant-Kern canal, the usual source of irrigation for the groves. The canal carries water from Friant Dam on the San Joaquin river. News reports have said that there would be no water delivery from the canal due to drought and low water level in the river, so I'm not sure what is keeping the orange groves green -- it might be from very deep wells that are resulting in depletion of aquifers.
