Looking west down CA-167, a straight line for roughly 21 miles from the California/Nevada border (about where I am) to US 395 which runs along the base of the Sierras.

I didn't know you had a D-3100. I got a D-3000 but it has spots all over part of the inside that show up on the photos and I don't know how to get rid of them.

A friend had a more expensive Nikon that had similar problems and demanded a refund (and got it). There is apparently a history with some Nikon's having oil that leaks from the lens mechanisms and creates spots.

That's what I have to do on most of my pics, though I use a different program. I'd rather have a way to solve the spot problem so it doesn't happen in the first place though.

That's not good news, though it does explain how they get there. My new camera, D-7100, is developing them too. I think I'll contact Nikon about it and see what they say.

Thanks... a little less haze would have make the picture better...

I just passed this way a couple of days ago, and we had nothing but haze. I still really liked this road, though.
