Patterson Las Palmas (0588)

Patterson, CA provided a surprising chance to reflect on public works and the attention provided to public aesthetics in the past. Before I-5 was built, the main road into Patterson was from Turlock and a 3 mile stretch of that road (named Las Palmas) was lined with rather elegant palm trees. The palm trees remain, though it appears their spacing is not as even as it once was and that they are not maintained at the same level that they might have been.
