SF Cow Hollow 3438a

Somehow, with 20+ years in the SF area, I had never noticed this unusual domed structure in Cow Hollow, at Filbert & Webster. A web search on this is slightly confusing. It is or was somehow connected to the Vendanta Society of Northern California, and was built in 1905. Websites directly related to the society (part of Hindu religion) show pictures of this building, but then describe a building at another location about a block away. It may be that this was the original building, but is no longer associated with the society.
