My customer contacted me from England, he is in the service (he and the birthday girl are originally from Trinidad, she lives here in the US). I made a cake for her birthday last year, too. It's coconut - chocolate marble with mocha buttercream filling and frosting, a favorite combination of mine!

Wild how much the world has changed in such a short time! Still amazes me when I stop and think about it. How fun to get customers from across the globe, especially repeat customers! Obviously, they were happy with your work. I had to snicker at your comment about this being a favorite combo of yours. I don't think you could put together a combo that I disliked more. Coconut, chocolate, and coffee. Now, caramel or fruits or the like, mmmmmmmmm! Isn't it funny how we are all wired so differently? Beautiful handiwork, by the way.

It's a beautiful cake and your description of the ingredients has my mouth watering to try it! (I wish!) I love the pretty red flowers on the top and side - they add just the right pop of colour to this cake!

Sometimes a minimilist approach works great. This is one such example although I hate coconut.
