DSCF7963 Arriva Merseyside buses in Liverpool - 16 Jun 2017
Friday 16 June 2017 (1332) – Three Arriva Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400s waiting in St. George’s Place in Liverpool city centre. On the right is a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL new to London General as WVL183 (LX05 FAK) operated by Cumfybus on service 139. The frontage of Lime Street Station dominates the background. The ornate Crown Hotel pub, stands on Skelhorne Street (on the corner with Lime Street). Skelhorne Street was once the location of the erstwhile Ribble Bus Station - the site of which is now home to newly built high rise buildings. Another one between Bolton Street and Lime Street is under construction beyond the Crown Hotel. The famous Adelphi Hotel, built between 1911 and 1914, is visible beyond the yellow crane undertaking that building work.
