Tawny Frogmouth

Tawny Frogmouth
Podargus strigoides

Spotted in a tree in my front yard. I wandered down with the tripod and film camera and got a nice close shot of him trying to act like a tree branch.

Kari Uimi, Verisimo have particularly liked this photo

Thanks. I'm fairly impressed with the colour depth of even cheap Fuji Superia film compared to a similar shot I took with the digital slr.
