Flooded

As dawn broke, the wreck of the Gayundah was bathed in a wonderful warm light. It's flooded bowels protuding from the stilled bay in memory of what it once was.

Flooded is for sale as a Framed, Mounted or Laminated print at RedBubble.

David de Groot replies:
Indeed it is Nada. I reckon it'll take quite a few more years yet due to the lack of real surf where it's beached.

Great shot David, the light in the wreck is a lovely subdued colour and the water is beautifully captured. The framing is excellent too. I like it a lot. And nice to see you back. :-)

I'm mostly hanging around on flickr now Rob. 'twas getting to be time consuming maintaining too many online presences, so cut back on a few.

I still hang out a bit on Flickr, trying to meet more local people, but I prefer the interaction here. I am used to replying to comments now and miss it. :-)

Anything further happen as a result of the exhibition?

David de Groot replies:
Whereas I have more contacts and local people on flickr, so it made more sense to hang out there. I also have a collection of Greasemonkey scripts for replying on flickr making it a bit more obvious who you're replying to.

As for the exhibition, nah, no sales and no followup. I've taken a short IT contract for a small funds injection, and then it'll be back to it again (as of next month).

It's a bummer with this having to earn money to go on with the photography. Good luck and please stay in touch!

I get the sense that they're merging; the colour of the water and the rusting metal work are becoming one.

'tis like that. :)
