Ouch - that looks as dry as over here.....

It was truly worrisome seeing the lack of water in a dam that when full holds 4 times the volume of Sydney Harbour. Scary stuff.
But yes, it does make for some great photography :)

Poor Government planning actually. Wivenhoe dam was meant to fulfil the South East Queensland area's water needs for 20 years, and lo, some 22 years later, it's drying up as it can no longer keep up with the growing demands.
However, despite all the forecasting, the Governments in the last 20 years haven't done anything to cater for the growth past that period.
