Here's looking at you kid... 


Our resident Carpet Python was on the driveway when we got home today, so I grabbed the camera with macro lens and dived out of the truck to grab some shots.

He was about 8 inches away at this point. Eventually he got curious enough to almost lick the lens before I stood up and he slithered back into the bush.

I wish now it was a little sharper, but the snake was starting to take an active interest in the lens by this point.

Thanks Nada - I had to get quite close to him to get this one. Luckily he seems to be a pretty laid-back and friendly snake.

Just lucky he's a carpet snake actually. There are many other varieties around here that would have attacked and delivered a very poisonous bite (some are in the top 10 deadliest snakes in the world, and they live right here).

Oui. Les grands serpents sont lourdes. Celui-ci était seulement 1,8 mètres de long.
