I would have liked to have got there at a really low tide and thus managed to get a bit closer still, but one can't have everything. Still, I'm quite pleased with this one - a personal favourite.

Thanks Mel :) It was a fun shoot. The encroaching tide made for some tense moments (esp. when we suddenly noticed the way we got onto the beach was now blocked).

Was this painted with light? Very cool all the same. Have you got a GPS that plugs into your camera? I'd really love that... although it would probably get annoying.

It was indeed painted with light using a 2 million candle power torch. The beach was pretty much completely black at that time of the morning, so the only illumination was the torch.

I wish I had a GPS that'd plug into the camera, save all the mucking about later if the photos where geotagged in-camera.
