The day after rain

The day after rain
Cedar Creek,

This is the same spot as my Whirlpool photograph but this time the day after we had roughly four inches of rain.

The creek has gone down a little from yesterday, but is still rushing by at a faster and higher level than when I shot "Whirlpool".

Christian Schweizer, Scab... Ange & Démon... ♀ have particularly liked this photo

It's not bad, but definitely not the same feel as the Whirlpool shot. I have a few more from today yet to come, some better, some different.

I think the part I like the best in this particular shot though is the three dimensional feel to the rocks when viewed large.

Thanks Nada. I'm putting together a series based on Cedar Creek at the moment, it's the first cohesive series of photos I've done (on purpose).

Are you enjoying the process of an 'on purpose' series?

I think so Mel. I'm kind of letting it all happen, being driven more by the sub-conscious than consciousness. Trampsing around a flowing creek does wonders for that quite contemplation one finds in such places.
