I'm going to be posting more up on here as well--I have lots of power line safaris planned for this week and the next. This is my favorite time of year here in the Northeast--I always enjoy the lighting on clear fall days, especially when the tree-leaves are changing color. October always makes for beautiful shots around here since the trees change color early up here.

Yeah it's also the time of year when you can start getting better shots of poles that are facing south with the lower sun angle. This also holds true for railroad shots for southbound trains, less shadows. Like you said fall is the time of year when you get the best clear days with nice blue skies.
