Came across this neat old bugger today!

Looking at it, it appears that many of the open wire lines are still in service, running the rail signals. On the top arms is a power line, likely running at 2.4kV ungrounded single phase. A shield wire is tied to insulators on the ridge pins.

Looks like the UPRR maintained the shield wire throughout the town because of all the switches and the double track through town - normally you only see it for 2 spans on either side of a transformer pole (the hot wires normally being inset towards the middle of the power arm).

Looking in street view, the railroad crossing down by Linden St. has the typical arrangement (still on 252s).
