It's not too often when I run into lines of this age using multiple conductors per phase! I think CP was the only one around here to put 'em up like that back in the 1920's and 1930's. They probably did 'em that way to overbuild them, forseeing lots of future load growth on the grid in this area. That's probably the only reason why transmission lines this old are still running around here!
