A grey red in shadow

A grey red in shadow
Dusk is a great time to view kangaroos. But it's a really terrible time to start the trip back to Broken Hill from Mutawintji because it becomes dark very quickly. The road starts out as dirt road, with large red kangaroos, sheep, emus and rabbits all trying to win the prize of first animal to jump under the wheels. Just when you've reached the sealed road, you realise the animals are still everywhere & now even more suicidal.

There was one casualty - a suicidal rabbit that left me with no chance (that was on the slow dirt road bit). I've stil no idea how there weren't more.

On day 2 I made sure I was back in Broken Hill before dark.
