The Eisenstadt Walnut Tree!

The Eisenstadt Walnut Tree!
During a visit to Eisenstadt in Burgenland during September last year, I collected ten ripe walnuts from our Austrian friends' tree in the garden. They have been wintering in the garage in compost, to give them their chill start, and now they are in the warmth of the house, they are beginning to sprout! Will our red squirrels ever have their own supply of Scottish-Austrian walnuts, I wonder?

Myabe my descendants can feed the squirrels' descendants! It will also take further global warming for walnuts to fruit in northern Scotland!
