The weirdest looking bird - an anhinga drying its wings
Taken in the Sanibel Reserve, Florida, anhingas resemble cormorants but are members of the darter family, and are also called snakebirds - with their bodies under water and only their necks exposed when swimming, they resemble snakes. In between swimming they need to dry out their feathers, or they cannot fly.
