Now you can get fall colors all throughout the year.

I can see south Minneapolis.

Prettiest half-a-city in the world.

Vehicles & bldgs are arranged among the city.

I said, "I wish there were some treebranches or powerlines in that big patch of sky in the upper lefthand corner, plus maybe some bits of litter on the pavement in the bottom righthand corner, plus a cat or a dog on the dirt between the white pickup and the covered car — but I'm gonna go ahead & snap a pic anyhow." Nobody replied! ----------------------- In south Minneapolis on April 12th, 2009, in an alley between 1st Avenue South and Nicollet Avenue, south of East 25th Street. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: TL159 Automobiles—Protection—Pictorial works. Ooh what's in the box! Hey there I'd like to get my floor sanded and stained in the next day or two, can somebody come over! Will the workmen be bringing their trailer along, there's plenty of room for it in my driveway! ----------------------- In south Minneapolis on April 12th, 2009, in an alley between 1st Avenue South and Nicollet Avenue, south of East 25th Street. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: TL297 Trailers—Pictorial works. I got very wowed by the bright colour. I don't know if the thing happened as part of an official gov't-sanctioned beautification program or what but I think it's something the City ought to encourage for so long as it doesn't include profanity. See that rustic wooden fence back there! You'd never guess it from looking but there's a noisy and bustling interstate on the other side of it. The fence is an idea to stop the freeway from getting seen. ----------------------- In south Minneapolis on February 16th, 2009, the southwest corner of 4th Avenue South and East 19th Street. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: TD788 Refuse and refuse disposal—United States—Pictorial works. Ha ha not yet lord willing!

Hold your abdomen and say oof : A question for the people of Minneapolis! Me, I get easily lured by the potential for cash settlements but I sure as h. don't want any of those defective hernia patches anywhere near my insides ha ha. I can see the Minneapolis skyline back there. There's the IDS Tower, it's as proud as a peacock. Every time I see the IDS I get reminded of Robert Schuller's "Hour of Power" Crystal Cathedral in Orange County b-cuz both bldgs got designed by the same man, Mr. Philip Johnson. Philip Johnson's longtime lifepartner was 33 yrs his junior! ----------------------- In Minneapolis on March 9th, 2009, a billboard advertising "James Rolshouse & Associates, Attorneys at Law" in the parking lot of the "Village Video" movie rental shop, along the east side of Nicollet Avenue south of East 16th Street. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: HF6161.L35 Advertising—Lawyers—Pictorial works. Where I live.

27 Mar 2009 165
I have been nervous about showing people the building I live in over the internet but there it is. I rent a apartment on the 2nd floor but I'm not telling which windows. There's my building in the Minneapolis springtime light! The large ducts make clangy sounds on windy nights but I have gotten used to that. I moved here in summer 2004. I remember the first night I was there I watched the opening ceremony of the Greek Olympics. Do you remember all of the athletes standing underneath of Björk's enormous stadium-size dress while she sang! ----------------------- In south Minneapolis on March 27th, 2009, a view from an alley between Nicollet Avenue and 1st Avenue South, north of East 28th Street. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: TH7683.D8 Air ducts—Pictorial works. Brrrr, I'm starting to getting hungry! Whoever it was that painted that wall of cinderblocks did a nice job I thought. I read where Cheetos haven't got transfat in them any more so they're okay to eat. I think that that downspout ought to get a protector so trucks won't back into it. ----------------------- In south Minneapolis on February 16th, 2009, in an alley south of East Franklin Avenue, between 3rd Avenue South and Clinton Avenue. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: TH2493 Roof drainage—Pictorial works. Simple gifts!

13 Mar 2009 238
Reminds me of oldtime New England. Large brown flower of grocery sacks! All the family cars lined up like pies on a table. I remember liquids pouring out of plastic containers! I don't get no peaceful easy feeling.

10 Feb 2009 143
Naw but I feel thankfull for whom ever it is that periodically rotates the inspirational signage. About Minneapolis I used to say "This rotten city gets kind of old after awhile doesn't it" but I don't feel that way when I look close @ the changes that happen. They're like puzzle-pieces aren't they, everything needs to get put in a spot. The lavender-coloured boat protector is a "Stearns." I'd like to live near a grain elevator someday and I wish that the shiny Passat belonged to me. I'm kind of jealous of the people in this part of town because in the part of town I'm living in now I wouldn't be able to leave a small white truck-topper laying out where people could steal it because it'd definitely get stolen the very first night I left it laying out! ---------------------- In south Minneapolis on February 17th, 2009, on the north side of East 36th Street, between Minnehaha Avenue and Snelling Avenue. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: TL240 Pickup trucks—Equipment and supplies—Pictorial works. The city is kind of starting to show its age isn't it but I guess that's unavoidable. The white bldg is tiny compared to the other ones. 17 Feb 2009 150
We're gonna be seeing more & more of this kind of stuff as the Depression gets worse & people start looking for cheap or free ways to keep themselves entertained once they can't afford anything. It's sad to think about but I predict the public libraries are gonna close too! ----------------------- In south Minneapolis on February 17th, 2009, at the northwest corner of 14th Avenue South and East 26th Street. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: NK6030 Snowmen—Pictorial works. A frozen lake!

17 Feb 2009 224
Minneapolis is the City of Lakes! But look close, I can see a trashy red-coloured shopping cart littering the shoreline. Cough cough, welcome to south Minneapolis!

Is that legal 4 bldgs 2 do that!!, oh well. For a moment I felt like I wanted to lie down and take a nap despite the awful smell but I was able to keep walking. My goal for that part of the day was to get to the Arby's on East Lake Street and I was able to do that. I ate Popcorn Chicken and Curly Fries plus a glass of Wild Cherry Pepsi. Later on I had a counseling appt @ Fairview Riverside Hospital and by the time it got to be time for me to go to that I had completely forgotten about the poisonous(?) vapours. ----------------------- In south Minneapolis on February 17th, 2009, the "Trinity Apartments" on the north side of East 31st Street, west of 28th Avenue South. ----------------------- Library of Congress classification ideas: TJ271 Steam—Pictorial works.
