The Huron River among its silt fences and straw mats and riprap and orange sandbags.

The Huron River among its silt fences and straw mats and riprap and orange sandbags.
The Huron River is not not a-atypical of the rivers and streams of the southern Great Lakes region of the U.S., fortunately or unfortunately for it, and for "us the people" of that region.

Silt fences and straw mats and riprap and orange sandbags are here deployed as protection of the Huron River's waters from runoffs of upslope dirts from the embankments along its course. It looks like a lot of work got put into the installation!
