Infrastructure prepped and ready for a wave of mid-aughts bubble development.
There likely were a bunch of people — motivated by an array of dovetailing and conflicting interests — whose lives intersected here during the buildup and failure of this wasted effort.

Somebody moved more abidingly than I am by the topic of U.S. real estate and its effects on people's hearts and minds — you know who you are — could probably tell an interesting story about the site. Me, I'm just using these new roads to get closer to the fields.
