The favorite thing I like about plaunt conservat'ries is: the glass.
Per my having done Internet Research upon the City of Detroit's website, this Conservat'ry was "reconstructed" from 1952 to 1954, so I figure we can guess that the glass probably dates from that time period also?

That's a ton of years' worth of getting tropically steamed up by the equatoriality of the wet specimens. Think of the antimildew measures the conditions would seem to require.
