For the Ad Council & the U.S. Army to team up with one another to acknowledge the ongoing use of sweatshop labor in the U.S.

For the Ad Council & the U.S. Army to team up with one another to acknowledge the ongoing use of sweatshop labor in the U.S.
As potential dropouts will be sure to recognize, this billboard's imagery was influenced by one of the currents in humorous U.S. greeting-card design of the 1990s-to-the-present, wherein anachronistic vintage-style pics and illustrations are captioned by startlingly-bluntly-expressed sentiments and/or punchlines. The style is here employed as a means of sidestepping the legal and graphic design difficulties presented by the prospect of depicting a popularly-recognizable representation of a contemporary sweatshop owner.

Reading comprehension!
Q: In their billboard idea, do the Ad Council and the U.S. Army express any opinions re fair labor laws.
