Touchdown lightning strike of superstructure of bridge infrastructure.

Touchdown lightning strike of superstructure of bridge infrastructure.
Of all of the world's diagonal beams coming up from out of the ground, this one's probably one of my favourites & I probably wouldn't mind if it followed me around everyplace.

It's the infamous 5th Street Bridge in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and it was erected in 1935. Maybe you remember New Deal times. The other side of the sign announces: "Little Kanawha River," and we West Virginians get hearty kicks out of listening to out-of-staters struggle to pronounce the word "Kanawha." The correct pronunciation is cuh-NOY-uh-hee.
