Beaded Bracelets

Beaded Bracelets
TSC: "back to basics"

either use a non-zoom or set your lens to 35 or 50mm only, camera to ISO100, and lets see something SOOC, no crop, no post pro, just like in the old days of film, or even use ISO100 film, mono or colour.

The only post processing allowed will be your watermark-signature..

This challenge reminded me why I don't like "fiddling" with the dials on a camera. lol

** The glass bead bracelets are hand crocheted by a group of women artists in Nepal as a way to improve the quality of life for themselves women and their families.

autofantasia, christel.k, Amazingstoker, Sami Serola and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

Hi Marj. Thank you for the kind comment and star. These bracelets are so easy to wear, they roll on over your hand and you forget that they are even there. See not in description box as to where they were made. :)

Gudrun I thank you for your kind words. I do enjoy these bracelets and to know that money from the sales of these go to women who make then in Nepal as a means of earning $ for themselves and their families is a good feeling. :)

If you don't like playing with camera settings, then you haven't done that enough ;-)

Although, the worst part of it is that you usually forget to reset them =D

Actually, I have played with camera settings a lot over the years Sami. lol I just don't and never have had the patience to stick with the fiddling around. (which is why I would never earn a living as a professional or be a purist photographer) Oh and I actually remembered to reset those setting. :)

I also found that even though the camera indicated a specific ISO the read out didn't always say the same thing. I got my Cannon D 1500 out to have better control manually.

Thanks for the kind words stoker, of course as others have pointed out, it does take practice and patience (which I have little of at times) to get into shooting manually. :)

It looks as though you were going for a hard, clear depth of field on this one. I think that going all the way to f22 might have worked against you on this one. You may have chosen to bring down the f-stop a bit to increase your shutter speed. Unless you were on a tripod I think the little bit of blur could have been reduced and a sharper result could have prevailed.

Hi pappy, thanks for your thoughts and insight on the image. I will make note of them ... I know that next time I'll use the tripod for sure. :)

Thank you Esther. As always appreciate your input. (they were really on a cement bench outside of the apartment but you can't tell that from the pic. ) :)
