King of The Road (explore)
TSC Challenge: Choose a song with the word ROAD in the title and illustrate it.

youtu.be/WrhAC0dFis0 Roger Miller

Used to watch the television show that Roger Miller had years ago (about 19606) and when the last show ended, if I remember correctly he blew up a locomotive. I am still trying to verify that, Don't trust my memory that far back. :)

KING OF THE ROAD

Trailer for sale or rent, rooms to let, fifty cents.
No phone, no pool, no pets, I ain't got no cigarettes
Ah, but, two hours of pushin' broom
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room
I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road.
Third boxcar, midnight train, destination, Bangor, Maine.
Old worn out clothes and shoes,
I don't pay no union dues,
I smoke old stogies I have found short, but not too big around
I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road.
I know every engineer on every train
All of their children, and all of their names
And every handout in every town
And every lock that ain't locked, when no one's around.
I sing, trailers for sale or rent, rooms to let, fifty cents
No phone, no pool, no pets, I ain't got no cigarettes
Ah, but, two hours of pushin' broom
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room
I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road.

Clickity Click has replied to Judith Jannetta
Thank you Judith, appreciate the nice comment and of course the fave. :) The trees look like winter trees because of the processing I'm afraid. :) The picture was taken just a few days ago and thankfully they are now starting to bud out. Love the rebirth of spring. :)

It could be a great illustration for "Road to Nowhere" too ! This looks like a dead end , the nice place to stop and stay.... Perhaps building a little house nearby, and offer the possibiblity to other people to live new advertures...... Well, your picture is fuelling my imagination !!! :o)

Isa this road is in a flood zone, very often when we get heavy rains the road will flood. This is coming down the road which curves off to the right and continues along through some lovely wooded areas ... I love your imagination Isa! :)

I had the same problem, spent the entire morning until lunch driving the back roads (actually Charlie was driving) to find something that might work and still had to resort to some processing. :)
