TWISTED WIRE

TWISTED WIRE
Diptych was the challenge for this week.
There is another one in the note box ... had a hard time deciding which one to feature. Each look nice on black.

The one in the note box is clickable.

Shuttering Yukon, Indycaver (Norm), Wierd Folkersma, Esther and 11 other people have particularly liked this photo

beautifully done and its that high key faded out background that helps this diptych pop lady c. the patina of the wire is terrific and highlighted by your chosen image ensemble. generous in its simplicity, the shapes and colours just work perfectly.

Very cool Chris!!! Thanks for dropping me a note on email. I checked on Ipernity and I didn't get one comment on my Christmas card and I've got no notification that you were trying to contact me. I hope that Ipernity is messed up, but not one comment on a Christmas card - wow!!! Oh well, sounds like you and Charlie are doing well and so is my family so that's the important part. All the best and have a great day!!!

Ipernity seems to have a chronic case of the hiccups ... :( Thanks for stopping by and I'll go double check that Christmas card and comment attempts. There is snow in the air here now for the first time ... but the sun is out and is a very light flurry. :)

Hi Judith, so glad you like this one ... it rather simple but I like that piece of wire and wanted to use it some way for the challenge. Appreciate your thoughts and of course the star. :)

Chris, you have done wonders for a simple piece of twisted wire. The diptych is very striking minimalism. XX

I love both diptychs. My favourite is the wire because of the simplicity making it extra beautiful.

Both are brilliant Chris - I love the flowers, however, as you know I will shoot a flower over almost anything else!

Fantastic work!

Yes I know Paul :) Sure appreciate your star. I like the simplicity of the wire but I like the feeling to the flowers. Thanks so much for your support over the years. :)

Oooo very intriguing . When I did flower arranging that loop would have been called enclosed space.
It is very strong.

Hi Jan thank you. For some reason that piece of wire intrigued me when I found it. It was twisted when I first saw it. It has found its way into several pictures of mine. There's a real Art to floral arranging, involving seeing the possibilities! :)

Both are so nice, Christine. I am partial to the flower diptych. I am loving those colors. (Did you invert that one?)
Clickity Click has replied to k.e.s_kloset
Thanks Karen, yes I did invert those colors. :) It's one of those options where a little bit goes a long way. Sometimes the image just isn't suitable for inversion but I liked this one. The images are so different but since I do a lot of flowers I decided to use the simplistic one this time. :)

k.e.s_kloset has replied to Clickity Click
Thanks Christine. That makes sense and I know what you mean about "inversion." Seems like sometimes it just doesn't work at all. Surely not the case in your photo though. :)
