Legs On Parade

Legs On Parade
The Sunday Challenge: This week, LEGS

Time restraints made it necessary to use an older image but at the time this was taken it was taken with the intent to zero in on the legs.

Angelica Paez, Venla Fa, autofantasia, Indycaver (Norm) and 9 other people have particularly liked this photo

thanks so much Jan, it was great to see the band and hear the music as well as see all of the different tartans. We were at an annual Scottish festival at the time. :)

They have got a nice swing going there (the kilts). Kilts are to a mans legs what high heels are to a womans. Super subject for this week and well taken. I'm going to fave it because the guy to the right has such big calves he has stretched the pattern at the top of his socks out of all proportion.
Actually I was going to fave it any way.

Clickity Click has replied to Judith Jannetta
Thank you Judith. It was the first thing that came to mind, well actually wanted to do the "legs" that form on the glasses of wine. That was a total bust, no ... actually we did get to drink the wine. lol Then I thought of the kilts. :)

An excellent shot. It reminds me of the old song www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnlqTOsR0RA, except that they are clearly not inebriated and are marching in step.

Clickity Click has replied to Esther
Thanks Ester and I haven't heard that little Scottish song in a very long time. Love it!!! On one of Charlie's birthday's we were in a little restaurant called LuLu's and he ordered a scotch, when the waitress realized it was his birthday she sang this song for him! We were all hysterical.

"... so glad you won first prize!)

Love it - I have a couple of similar shots - legs in kilts have an unexplained attraction for me.

Clickity Click has replied to Yvonne
Thank you Yvonne. Perhaps because it take a proud. brave man to wear a kilt and that is the attraction for you. :)

There's something about men in kilts...maybe its because Im engrossed in the Outlander series at the moment!!
What are skivvies? Are they undies? Skivvies over here are turtle neck shirts!
Clickity Click has replied to Penny
Yes skivvies are undies Penny! Made me chuckle with the image of someone wearing a turtle neck shirt as underwear!! (I know strange sense of humor) lol I am going to have to read the Outlander series, everyone seems to be swept up with the series!

Scotland holds a special place in Charlie's heart ... he has always been fascinated with the country and it's beauty and history. Glad you like the way this came out Paul. :)

ahh yes, ive worn a few kilts in my time and as a veteran of going commando it felt very natural having the cold scottish breeze rummage through my tackle :-)

I was in scotland on the day of the independence referendum and saw not one person wearing the national costume. it really is just for weddings, pomp and swinging free :-)

Clickity Click has replied to Jon Smith
Well Jon, I suppose one has to "air out' periodically. lol Thanks for the comment, as always.
