Fired Up The Kindle Fire

Fired Up The Kindle Fire
Laid down on the deck and placed my Kindle Fire on the deck in front of me and tilted it upward to shoot the picture. Rather awkward so it was a bit of "taking a chance" on getting something usable. Tried quite a few shots but I like the way the front leg of the bench takes center stage here.

First time I have really tried to use the camera on the Kindle.

Berny, Yvonne, Esther, Wierd Folkersma and 11 other people have particularly liked this photo

Jan this is a Kindle Fire, not sure that all Kindles have the camera. Thank you! :)

Wow, I didn't know Kindle had the ability these days to shoot photos! Why is it that they have to put a camera in every technical device we use?? But I digress; great shot for the challenge, Chris!

I am not sure all Kindles have the camera Val. It sure does seem as though we are seeing cameras pop up in just about everything! Thank you Val. :)

ok so I have a question??? My hand is up!

Why did you do this with your Kindle and not your camera? Or was it 'just to see'?

anyway it made for a spectacular shot and I LOVE the s'c and how the front leg takes center stage and the back leg almost appeared floating.

Yes, Miss Cassidy, thank you for raising your hand ... I was just playing with it, I've not used the camera in the Kindle before. It does have some processing options but the only font is urk!
I thought that front leg looked interesting and really gets your attention as you said. Glad you liked it.:) x

It was nice to try something new, but at that angle it proved to be awkward to move around! lol

It sure does Christine. Really beautiful details and angle. (Did you use selective color on this?)

Thanks Karen, I did use a little selective color on the wooden slats but not with the Kindle. I had to take the pic into picasa for that. :)

well, straight off the bat the colouring is tremendous.. hitting us then is the front leg that dominates the scene in a great way. the perspective is delightful and more than hits the brief. excellent kindle photography lady c ... those tax dodgers amazon would be proud of this :-)

I know what you mean ... I bought mine at an estate sale, the owner was a good neighbor of ours and it always sat in her garden ... I think of her so often when I see that bench! Thanks so much.

First had to google what is Kindle :)) I still like to use normal books.
But a great result, interesting shot

Clickity Click has replied to Wierd Folkersma
Weird, I still prefer the "feel" of a book in my hands as well ... I don't use the Kindle for reading books, I use it access the internet, play a few games, respond to comments here with ipernity, read the news of the day, read, my email & such. Now I can add take a picture as well, I don't see it replacing any of my cameras though! Thank for the thoughts!! :)

great angle well seen, something of very human form about that leg, looks like a leaning, straining person . .
